They include a new chief information officer and a new CEO

In the last 24hrs, firms including Aon, Markel and Patriot Growth, have announced senior appointments spanning regional management, analytics and insurance recovery.

Aon has named Anne Corona as CEO of North America, succeeding Lori Goltermann, who will become vice chair of Aon on March 31, 2026.

At the same time, Farheen Dam has been appointed CEO of Enterprise Clients and chief client officer.

Corona (pictured, left) moves into the regional CEO post after more than 25 years at Aon, most recently as CEO of Enterprise Clients and global chief commercial officer. She previously served as CEO of Asia-Pacific, president of Aon's financial services group and chief of staff to the global CEO.

Goltermann (pictured, center), a more than 30-year Aon veteran, will serve as vice chair into 2027. The new role will see her advise on global growth, workforce development, women’s health and talent across the industry, drawing on her experience as CEO of Regions and North America and her work embedding Aon’s client leadership model.

Meanwhile, Dam (pictured, right) will step into the CEO of Enterprise Clients and chief client officer role from her position as North America Health Solutions leader. She now leads the Enterprise Client Group and the expansion of Aon's client leadership approach across all segments and industries.

Markel has hired Kristen Dardia (pictured immediately above) as head of portfolio analytics, US & Bermuda, with responsibility for advanced analytics, technical pricing and portfolio management across those businesses.

Dardia joins from Arch Insurance, where she was senior vice president of strategic analytics, leading portfolio‑level analytics, risk segmentation and automation initiatives across multiple commercial lines. Earlier in her career she held roles spanning actuarial science, analytics and strategy, and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

At Markel, she will focus on strengthening how data is used to support underwriting and claims teams with timely, practical insight, with the aim of faster decision‑making, more responsive service and improved outcomes. She will be based in New York.

Patriot Growth Insurance Services has appointed Barninder Khurana as chief information officer as the company looks to scale its technology platform alongside ongoing acquisition activity.

Khurana will lead enterprise technology strategy, architecture and execution, with a focus on building scalable platforms, tighter integration, better data and analytics, automation, cyber security and M&A technology enablement. He will work closely with Patriot’s executive team and agency partners to align technology investments with business priorities and simplify complexity across the organization.

Old Republic International has announced that Doug Wordekemper will become CEO of Old Republic Professional, effective March 23. At the same time, current president Frank Kastelic will move into the role of president, Public D&O.

Wordekemper brings more than 25 years of financial lines underwriting and leadership experience, most recently as head of wholesale financial lines for AXIS Capital. In his new role he will lead Old Republic Professional’s specialty underwriters and its diversified professional lines portfolio. Kastelic will focus on leading the firm’s largest segment, public D&O, leveraging his longstanding relationships and product expertise in that market.

Law firm Foley Hoag has hired Steve Wright as a partner and chair of its insurance recovery practice.

Wright brings over two decades of experience representing corporate, financial, nonprofit and governmental policyholders on coverage matters and in complex disputes. His practice spans D&O, E&O/professional liability, commercial general liability, fidelity and crime, product contamination and recall, property and specialty covers, including cyber.

MAXIS Global Benefits Network has appointed Brian McCarthy as regional manager, US East Zone, within its global business development team.

McCarthy joins from International Group Program (IGP), where he spent more than 20 years, most recently as assistant vice president of business development. He brings extensive experience in global benefits and captive reinsurance, including product development, client strategy and business planning.
